Welcome

Welcome to White2Black. I started this blog as a white belt and am doing my best to keep it going through black belt. I will try and capture the best of Bjj, and I will give you a look inside my crazy mind. This blog will not be perfect, but it will convey my BJJ journey to you. I compete often so I will make sure I give you guys a piece of that as well. I am currently a Blue belt, I have competed at Pans, Worlds, and many other IBJJF tournaments, as well as local Naga, and smaller tournaments.

Paul Halme (Last Sat)

Wasn't sure what time practice was gonna be, usually coach puts it up on Facebook. Nate calls me and says..."Hey wanna go train with me tomorrow at Paul Halme gym in Keller?" ....and of course I said yes. Woke up early headed out there ready to get my jitz on. In case you didn't know, if you go to someone elses gym, people are not always SUPER nice to you. They get very territorial, and upset if you are working some of their teammates. Not these guys, they are simply stand up practitioners. Everyone was super nice, very accepting and also instructional and ready to give advice. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I hung in with my white belt counterparts. Another real cool thing is that the high level belts didnt try to destroy me, they just worked with me. It was beautiful.
